Improve your health, one habit at a time
Our 8 week Get Healthier challenge is an attainable nutrition and lifestyle program based on changing just one habit at a time. Simple and easy. It's true that this isn't a fast weight loss approach, but that's generally considered a good thing. Healthier living is a lifelong process (that often also results in weight loss). There's no hurry! The program is delivered via daily emails (for 8 weeks). At the start of each week the email will introduce you to the habit you'll adopt that week, and each subsequent email that week will include some combination of tips, information, motivation, and even a few recipes. You'll also receive a tracking sheet at the beginning of the program that you can use to keep tabs on how you're doing. The science is pretty clear that this form of accountability is very effective. Because we know most people dislike food diaries, we've come up with a much easier (and shorter) option. That's pretty much it. 8 weeks = 8 habits. The habits are cummulative, so in week 2, you'll continue to follow the habit from week 1 as well as the habit from week 2.
Here's how one of our previous participants described it: "What an incredible amount of information and motivation you've put together. Receiving a daily email was a big help in keeping me motivated to continue with the challenge. I looked forward to it every morning. (And had a moment of withdrawal this morning, I admit.) Your challenge was reasonable in its expectations, inspiring in its content, and successful in its goal to get me lean(er). I have new habits which I'm sure will continue, because they're easy (I'll let you know!). I'm optimistic because none of them killed me to do. I never felt like I had to deny myself. If I was hungry, I ate. I just ate different things, healthier things. More vegetables, more protein. I exercised. I drank water. I slept. Nothing crazy. But so effective. I've had such great results. (Not that I'm counting, but I lost almost 20 pounds!) Most importantly, I'm feeling more like my old self."
